Press Release
Beginning on the first on January, 2022, Women Chiropractors Nonprofit transitioned its leadership roles as past Executive Board members stepped down as terms expired. Roles that were transitioned are President, Vice President, and Secretary. We are so thankful for the leadership, talent, and expertise that Past President Dr. Rosemary Batanjski and Past Secretary Dr. Donna Craft brought to our board over the last five years, and we are thrilled to welcome three new voices to these roles, after they served as board members at large for the years prior.
President - Dr. Michelle Wendling
Dr Michelle Wendling has always been passionate about serving chiropractors as well as her patients. As owner of Be the Best Chiropractor coaching she has mentored chiropractors since 2009 to be the BEST they can be for their patients, practice and for themselves. Currently has over 200 videos to help doctors all over the world on her website. She is current president of Women Chiropractors Organization (WDC) a non-profit dedicated to creating a worldwide community that supports, empowers, and connects women chiropractors. She is a past president of the Colorado Board of Chiropractic Examiners 2013-2021 and continues to serve as a case expert for the CBCE.
She owned a referral based, cash practice in Denver Co, she started right out of school from 2006-2021. In addition to her 15 years practicing chiropractic, she has over 15 years experience working in Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy and as a personal trainer, giving her a unique perspective on patient care and business. Dr. Wendling graduated Suma Cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West Dec 2005 and has a bachelor degree in Exercise Sports Science from Colorado State University.
Dr. Michelle (as her patients affectionately referred to her) was voted Rising Star Chiropractor of the Year in 2013 and 2015 by the Colorado Chiropractic Association due to her commitment to helping chiropractors succeed in Colorado. She sold her practice in 2021 so she and her husband could live their dream of traveling the country in their RV with their 2 cats.
Vice President - Dr. Michelle Turk
Dr. Michelle Turk is graduate of NYCC. After running a multi-doctor, family chiropractic practice, she began coaching other chiropractors. For twenty years, she has shared her experience and expertise, leading her fellow DCs towards personal and practice success. She is the owner of Positive Impact Coaching and Consulting.
Michelle is very excited to join the WDC board. After many years in our profession, she is excited to give back in this way. When asked why she wants to serve this organization, she responded, “My years in practice and as a coach have allowed me to really see a wide variety of practices. What I’ve learned is that there is not one right way to practice. It is essential for each doctor to define what their own ideal practice is and take daily steps to achieve it. No one can define success and fulfillment for us. We need to start supporting and encouraging each other, even those who practice differently than us. Women chiropractors often face the additional challenge of balancing practice and family, and we have not yet earned an equal voice profession wide. It is my hope to support and empower women chiropractors to achieve their own version of success and to step up to our rightful place in this great profession.”
Michelle’s particular areas of expertise include effective doctor-patient communication, patient education and retention, leadership, and using statistics in practice management.
On a personal note, Michelle is married to Andrew Schneider, and they have twin daughters in college.
