As 2021 comes to an end, we are reflecting on how thankful we are for all of you – our members, our sponsors, and our entire community, for an incredible year. With recent years’ challenges behind us, 2021 shaped up to be a great year of restructuring, rebranding, and reconnecting with one another. This was a year to take a step back, assess our mission, and get organized to continue and make an even greater impact ahead. Along with that, we were able to put on our best Convention yet, where we were reminded of how critical and important our mission is after a refreshing couple of days of genuine connections with all the women who attended, and with our incredible sponsors and members.
Next year, we come up on our fifth year as a nonprofit! How blessed we are to have been able to serve this community for five years! And how blessed we are to look ahead as we continue on this journey of service. What a five years it has been…
2017
In 2017 we embarked on a collective journey to make change in our profession for women in chiropractic. Our goal was to connect, empower, and support all women chiropractors and give them a safe place to share, learn and grow. Little did we know how far we would come. That first year we founded our nonprofit, and on June 5, Women Chiropractors began.
The following year, in 2018, we focused on making “Her-Story” with our first convention where we connected women chiropractors, held by women for women. We realized then that we were onto something incredible and we’re ready to dream bigger. With that in mind, our reentry class was born, with the mission of helping any women who are struggling to rejoin chiropractic and find their footing in their careers.Fast forward to today, and we have now empowered and supported over 60 women in the last four years return into practice with confidence and hope.
2018
2019
In 2019, we focused on education and worked with our sponsors to host five regional pop-up seminars for women in chiropractic. Our goal was to empower and educate women in business, chiropractic, clinical support, and hands-on adjusting workshops.
Then came the pandemic in 2020. The uncertainty impacted us all. We all had to “pivot & shift,” and this year allowed us to build relationships with our sponsors and our members virtually. We were grateful for all the support. We gained a better insight of what women in chiropractic needed and were able to set new goals for the years ahead, along with the help of our added board members.
2020
2021
2021 was “unconventional” & “unbelievable.” We had our best convention yet, where we focused on bettering ourselves as women and as chiropractors, growing together, and making genuine connections with one another. Our sponsors were incredible, and we gained many members who have a heart for service and joined us on our mission to help and support others.
LOOKING FORWARD
As we say goodbye to 2021 and welcome 2022 with open arms, our word for this upcoming year is impact. With a strong foundation as an organization, we now can focus on growing our membership, building our programs with our committees, and making impact in our clinics, stages, education opportunities, and research.
2022 marks our fifth anniversary as a nonprofit. We are so thankful for all who supported this mission along the way— who have been pivotal in the success and progress of Women Chiropractors, and who supported us on to where we are today. We look ahead to 2022 with hope, inspiration, and excitement as we forge ahead with intentionality to best connect, support, and empower woman chiropractors.
Thank you!
To our sponsors, we thank you. Thank you for supporting us not only financially, but in our programming, educational opportunities, and the many ways in which you go above and beyond to empower our community of women chiropractors. You are genuinely the best partners.
To our members, we thank you. Thank you for all that you do for our organization, both financially and intellectually, joining us in our efforts, supporting women chiropractors everywhere, and sharing your time and expertise so freely. We are so blessed by you.
If you are not a member, we encourage you to consider the opportunity to join us on this mission – we would love for your voices to be heard and would love work alongside you to support this incredible community.
We wish you all the best as you close out your year, as well as the very best in the year to come.
